Experienced Music Therapist/Recreational Therapist-Full-time

Is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of music centered therapeutic activity sessions for residents with varying needs.  Is accountable for the assessment of residents recreational needs and the development of an individualized plan to meet these needs.  Counsel and encourage residents to participate in leisure activities.  Organize and coordinate special outings and accompany residents on outings. Prepare progress charts and periodic reports for medical staff reflecting residents’ reactions and progress or regression. 

Four year Degree in Music, Art, or Recreational Therapy required.  Will consider students currently pursuing degree.  At least one year of experience coordinating activities with seniors in a Nursing Home or Assisted Living environment preferred.
